Shoulder Sleeve Insignia
On an oriental blue shield with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) yellow border 3 inches (7.62 cm) in height and 2 1/2 inches (6.35 cm) in width overall, two diagonally crossed yellow keys superimposed by a white torch enflamed red.
Oriental blue is the primary color traditionally associated with Military Intelligence units. Blue represents loyalty and determination; gold is representative of high ideals, achievement and excellence. White signifies integrity and red stands for courage and zeal. The keys are symbolic of security, control and authority. The torch alludes to the unit's mission and implies knowledge, vigilance and guidance.

Distinctive Unit Insignia
A gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a blue polestar bearing a gold torch enflamed red surmounted by a diagonally crossed gold key and sword with lightning bolt blade all encompassed by a black scroll doubled and inscribed "DIRIGE ET DUC" in gold.
Oriental blue, representing loyalty, is the primary color traditionally associated with Military Intelligence organizations. Gold is representative of achievement and excellence; red conveys courage and zeal. Black denotes covert capabilities. The polestar alludes to the Command's worldwide mission. The torch symbolizes knowledge and leadership while the key signifies security and the sword with lightning bolt blade stands for military strength and swiftness. The motto translates to "Direct and Lead."
The distinctive unit insignia was approved on 5 February 1993.
